Photographed this one at Kharghar Hill, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai on 3rd April '10. It was observed soaring over the hill for 5-10mins. Since I wasn't getting the colours right in my pics, I made a note of the birds appearance in my notepad.
On looking through the binocs, the bird showed darker underwing coverts which contrasted quite well with the flight feathers. The undertail-coverts appeared extensively pale.
It may be noted that the hill is situated close to the sea. (in case Greater Spotted Eagle is being considered as an option.)
