Very exciting to this lovely bird at the Orchid Resort, Kalingpong. In fact there was a pair of them assiduously building a nest high up on a tree. Shy and secretive, they would simply vanish from the nest into the foliage of the surrounding trees. These shots are a result of assiduous attempts on my part to keep a vigil over their activities for a couple of hours ! All very fascinating and well worth it. My thanks to Ganesh Mani Pradhan of Orchid for assuring me that I would definitely get to see the Long-Tailed Broadbill.
