[BirdPhotoIndia] Black bittern

Hi all,,near tarapur, Gujarat..saw some sarus landing beyond the ridge beside the road..went in ..saw a huge pond with lotus, protected by tall reeds on all sides. Saw lots of jackana with chicks, , a yellow bittern, whistling and spotbilled ducks, pied, common and wb kingfishers, purple n pond heron, great and small egret, painted and open bill storks, terns, black/black headed and glossy ibis, shrikes, sarus and many more commeners and above all, this black bittern which was a lifer for me..cheers
