[BirdPhotoIndia] Barbet with rare plumage

Hi Members,
 
This Blue-Throated Barbet was sighted at Jayanti, Alipur Duar, in first week of October, 2010. The  colouration is different in this bird.
I am quoting Mr. Sumit Sen's remarks on this baird -

"This Barbet colouration is a recognised variant of the nominate race.  It is a rare plumage."
