[BirdPhotoIndia] Where there's a will; there's a way- IV.

Common Name: Black-crowned Night Heron

Species Name: Nycticorax nycticorax

Location: Bilaspur, Chhatisgarh, my hospital campus.

Date taken: 10.10.2010

Equipment: Nikon D90 + Nikkor 70-300mm AF VR Zoom

Special Remarks:
This is the story of another juvenile Black-crowned Night Heron which had fallen off from its tree. The bird was yet incapable of full flight, but still it managed to get back onto the tree.
Step I.- From the ground, it fluttered up to the low brick wall( the boundary wall of my hospital building).
Step II.- From the wall, it managed to climb onto a nearby situated condemned vehicle.
Step III. - Perched itself on the window of the ruined vehicle.
Sterp IV. Managed to fly up to the roof of the vehicle, from where it was within accessible distance of its nesting tree. Though I do not have a picture to prove it, I can assure all that the juvenile got back to the safety of the tree eventually.
