Re: (delhibirdpix) Id confirmation needed- booted eagle and black kite????

Just got another pic of that clicked by my friend Pranav with me in the morning. Surely a black kite.
:)

Dr. Vaibhav says common buzzard. But somehow it really doesn't seem like one man. I too think its a lineatus And assuming its a kite I didn't bother clicking it even though it got sooooo damn close coz i was tracking the booted.
Have attached the only other angle i have. What say?

Looks like a Black-eared Kite to me - the big white patches, and if nothing else, it would explain why the tail is not deeply forked. What else could it be? Surely not an aquila(right?). Really interesting pose and nice sequence.

TFS!

Hi Guys,
This attached image was also from the action sequence in the morning. Just wanted to confirm, the other raptor(on the left) is a black kite right???
The tail has confused a lot of us though I still feel it is a kite. Please do give your opinion.
Thanks a lot.

Clicked in Pune today morning.
