Dear all, Thought the following is of interest to those who are interested in Amur Falcons. Attached are pictures of a male Amur Falcon that we ringed and released on 5 December 2010, in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. We rescued this male Amur Falcon from a trapper on 3 December 2010. Glue known as Birdlime was used to trap the bird. Although the bird was in perfect health and the feathers intact, there was birdlime on its right remiges and also the rectrices, and thus the falcon was non-releasable in that condition. We cleaned up the glue and once sure there is no impairment to its flight, we ringed and released it. The engravings on the ring are as follows: RCF 001 HYD IND RCF- Raptor Conservation Foundation 001- Serial Number HYD- Hyderabad IND- India Best regards, Dr.Pranay Rao Juvvadi, General Secretary, Raptor Conservation Foundation, 1-10-63/4, Chikoti Gardens , Begumpet, Hyderabad-500 016, Andhra Pradesh, India .
