Today morning after birding in the Kalikapur wetlands, I decided to go
to CKBS. There were no visitors today in the park. Cool breeze was
blowing and the sky was overcast. The mournful call of a Plaintive
cuckoo was resounding in the forest. It was difficult to locate the
bird among the dense entangling creepers and foliage. After a long
search, I spotted the bird. As soon as I took the first snap, it flew
away and started calling again. It was sitting somewhere in the
canopy.
Got the bird again in the open after sometime. ...it was singing
loudly and tried to balance itself on the thin branch, as the wind was
strong. I cudnt get shots better than these due to cloudy weather and
low light conditions.
