today morning after birding in the Kalikapur wetlands, I visited CKBS
with birder friend Parikshit. We found that the SBK were very vocal
today. As one bird called loudly, another one, probably its mate,
responded immediately. The peculiar mournful call of the birds
resounded in the sanctuary for long. After a long search, finally we
spotted this big kingfisher perched on a mango tree. Before it cud
detect us, we managed to take few snaps.
