[BirdPhotoIndia] Streak-Throated Woodpecker

This morning I witnessed an interesting ritual between two male Streak-Throated Woodpeckers. It was a kind of contest in which they both showed playful aggression, holding their heads high with beaks tilted upwards and now and then thrusting themselves forward at each other without really clashing. They would flatten their bodies on the ground and lie that way for a while.
Interesting.
