(delhibirdpix) Greater Painted Snipe Mating Dance???

Firstly, thanks to Dr. SP  for discovering this wonderful place... the snipes (more than a dozen individuals observed on every trip) are very easy to photograph here.. unfortunately over the last 3 weeks the grass has become overgrown and i imagine that photo ops will be more difficult now.. Enclosing a series of pics frm Shankar Vihar, Delhi from yesterday with Anand Sachdeva..

Was fortunate to observe some spectacular moments of the Snipes courting ??? Starting with the female the pair took a bath first, followed by  a vigorous shaking to dry themselves.. This is followed by the female calling repeatedly (a metallic chuk-chuk) and then raising her wings.. vigorously shaking them.. the male then responds with a call and a similar raising of his wings (minus the shaking action of the female).

Enclosed are a series of shots.. Could experts confirm?

Thanks

Sharad
