My 800mm lens never came out of the camera bag for the entire Sela Pass trip. On our last birding session we took a quick drive down to Shangti valley (below Dirang) and spotted a couple of Long-billed Plovers on the opposite bank. The 800mm had to make an appearance just for sheer reach. As I was packing the lens back, Shashank spotted a flock of greenfinches feeding close-by and I used the same rig to make a few images of these beautiful though common birds.
