The small human settlement of Jainty inside the Buxa Tiger Reserve is itself a birder's paradise. You will get many bird species there only..Leafbirds,Fairy Bluebirds,Hill Mynahs,Scarlet Minivets to name a few.....you dont even have to enter dense forest to spot birds. This Emerald dove was spotted on the road at Jainty during the early morning birding hours. It was feeding on seeds.
Will share more shost of the bird soon. The Emerald doves of Buxa seemed to be more brownish in colour than our CKBS birds.
But they are definitely more easy to photograph here than in CKBS...
