[BirdPhotoIndia] Fulvous-breasted WP-1

Hi,

     A sub-adult Fulvous-breasted Wood Pecker (m) on my eucalyptus tree. It was searching food on the globular nest of insects/ants (?) that look like a snake on the tree trunk in the picture.

Sometimes it was pulling out such nests from the cracks and crevices on the trunk.

Shot at Salt Lake,Kolkata,India on 3rd Oct,2009.
