(delhibirdpix) The Scarce Summer Visitor - # 01.13 - Bristled Grassbird (Chaaetornis striatus) - 2011-178

Made another enjoyable trip to Dadri Wetlands this morning - primarily to see the Bristled Grassbird. They did not disappoint - Total of 6 (5 Males and 1 Female) Birds located. Males were calling constantly and displaying.

The habitat this year has increased as compared to last year when only two fields had the grass preferred by these birds. Hopefully, there would be a few more females and breeding would take place.

These fields also produced Weavers and Munia and a few other species.

The first female of this species this season.

Cheers.
