Hi
just returned from a two days' trip to Digha- (a coastal town in lower Bengal) with colleauge Mr.Debraj Chakraborty and his parents.
Admired the beauty of the vast sea....enjoyed the cool sea breeze in the evening...relished the delicious sea fishes and prawns.. Somehow managed to take out some time for early morning-birding....I hardly ever thought I would get birds in this trip. The salt marshes and esturaries near Digha were good spots for watching water birds and winter migrants. This Golden Plover was spotted in a marshy area on our way to an estuary (mohona) near Old Digha.
Please correct me if the ID of the bird is wrong.
regards
Shantanu.
