Species : Trumpeter Finch - Bucanetes githagineus - Adult Male
Date : 25th Dec. 2012
Location : Outskirts of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, India
Habitat : Sandy desert near human habitat.
Status : Least Concern.
Remarks : An adult female was sighted at a small puddle of water, near a remote village of the Thar Desert. After a while she started to call in nasal drawn out chein….chein….chein, and was soon joined by a group of six more.
