[BirdPhotoIndia] Trogon

Hi,
We were busy having tea early in the morning when suddenly I noticed a shadow of a bird who came flying among the tall Sal trees in our campus. The bird ultimately settled on a branch. Instantly, I picked up my binoculars and though the sun was behind the bird, had the amazing sight of the dazzling red breast of a male Malabar Trogon! The bird was very alert and did not allow us to go near it. It started to fly away settling from one tree to another, finally crossing the deep ditch encircling our campus. Here is a distant shot of our prize catch!
Photographed at Jodachua, Kuldiha WLS in Odisha, India on 10th Feb 2013.
Regards,
Maitreyee
