Dark-Fronted Babbler ( record shot )........ Manipal , 1st Feb 2013
The small ' churrr ' - ing birds were almost everywhere under the thick bushes of the woods in and around Manipal ...... including the dark canopied forest at Durga FR ( near Karkala ) .Despite seeing them many times .... and randomly clicking a 100 .... only managed few passable shots .... for record !!
They seem to crawl up to the higher parts of small thin but thickly leaved branches ...... and suddenly fall off down like dried leaves .... !! Many a time I lost it ..... trying to click at the top .... :-)
