Species : Swamp Francolin - Francolinus gularis - Adult
Date : 6th March 2013
Location : Dudhwa National Park, Uttar Pradesh, India
Habitat : Reeds and Grassland.
Status : Globally threatened.
Remarks : A pair was sighted on two consecutive days, taking an almost predictable route. They entered from the South patch of Grassland crossed the track and entered the patch to the North. There was an attempt to mate on the track, while the female squatted with cloaca in full view, the male mounted but couldn't keep balance.
