Location: Distt. Nainital, Uttrakhand, India
Coordinates: N 29° 29.003' E 079° 22.242', (2286 meters)
Habitat: Rhododendron, Oak and fir forest.
Status: Least Concern
Remarks: The mournful, drawn out soft whistle like song was heard from the road, and the bird was found much closer than estimated perched atop a Rhododendron branch. Unmindful of our presence it kept singing for a while.
