Species: Black and Yellow Grosbeak - Mycerobas icterioides - Male

Location: Dhanaulti, (2286 meters), Uttrakhand, India.
Habitat: Deodar conifers.
Status: Least Concern
Remarks: Birds are resident here mostly found feeding on seeds of Deodar trees, often descending on the ground, foraging for insects and drinking water at roadside puddles. They were found in pairs in May, and calls were heard at the 'Eco Park'. This male in the company of a female was seen devouring this mollusk at the edge of the park.
