[BirdPhotoIndia] The passage butcher at its larder

The Red-tailed Shrike (Lanius phoenicuroides) is a passage migrant in India passing through the extreme west of the country on its way to Africa. Though quite populous when they reach their wintering grounds their numbers here are very sparse probably as this region is on the fringe of their corridor.
The shrike was enjoying a grasshopper from its larder. Shrikes are called butcher birds for this behavior.
