GREATER SCAUP, TAL CHAPAR WILDLIFE SANCTUARY, RAJASTHAN, INDIA
The duck was in shallow waters of Tal Chapar Wildlife Sanctuary. It
was remaining alone all the time but nearby the groups of common teal,
gadwel, and pintails. And fed by diving.
White patch at the base of bill was prominent and cotton white.
On disturbance, it flew away some distance but then kept coming back at the
same place.
There is not a single tuft male or female in this group or the whole
sanctuary at this time.
