When Sushmita, Rita and I were in Badopal wetlands near Suratgarh, Hanumangarh dist of Rajasthan on December 23rd, a forest staf,f Man Singh, who was showing us around, spoke of this 'white coot' they have been observing from pretty close quarters since some days. When we were taken to the site, the bird was too far away to get any decent shots of. We left word Man Singh to try and get photos of it. Apparently it hasn't been seen there since.
