(delhibirdpix) Slaty-backed Flycatcher (Ficedula hodgsonii)- one more shot

Slaty-backed Flycatcher (Ficedula hodgsonii)- male.
Its one of rarely seen flycatchers of the Eastern Himalayas. Kolkata birders are really lucky to get it this winter in their own city. Thanks to birder Subhro Jyoti Roy for his guidance.
Location: Rabindra Sarovar. Kolkata.
Canon 60D
Date: 1st February-2014

I came to know from a discussion with birder friend Kanad Baidya- that the white feathers of the sides of the rump distinguishes this bird from the similar-looking Tickell's Blue flycatcher- which I was completely unaware of. Hence, posting this shot where the white feathers can be seen. According to him, this flycatcher has probably entered Kolkata via the forests of the Chittagonng hills of Bangladesh- which is more close to the hills of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam- where this bird is not that uncommon. The other flycatcher- Snowy-browed  recently sighted in Budge Budge area also seem to have followed the same route. The route from North Bengal hills to Kolkata---via West Dinajpur-Maldah-Birbhum-Burdwan-Murshidabad-Nadia without any continuous stretch of forest seems to be too long for these resident hill birds- which only exhibit some altitudinal migration. But its just an assumption. Researches are required to know the exact migration route of these species and how they reached Kolkata- a place thousands of kms away from the original range of these non-migrant flycatchers.
