Dear All,

After the recent stir created by the red-breasted goose, Some of us decided to quickly dash across to the ground zero. The team of entusiasts included Atul Jain, Ananda Banerjee and the undersigned. We started our journey much before the daybreak and reached the action grounds by 8.30 am.

We scanned about 5 flocks of bar-headed geese to look for a smaller looking red-fronted bird. sometimes, even mistaking a great cormorant for the prized goose. The bird simply wasn't there. Our consolation was a lone Greater White-fronted goose for all the scanning. 

However, the highlight of the trip was a large gregarious flock of Indian skimmers It was a lifer for me.. I am sharing some of the trip pictures here. For all those who have not seen Indian Skimmer or Great Thick-knee, a tip to Bijnore is highly recommended.
