Past snow-covered Thrumshingla, while looking for Tragopans, we chanced upon a raptor perched on a stump in the snow. As we watched, a second Eurasian Sparrowhawk showed up on the scene and they mated within a matter of seconds. Too stunned to react, and managed a few shots only after the male took off again. Thrumshingla NP (Bhutan), 4 April 2014.
