Re: (delhibirdpix) The Migratory Non-Passerines - # 12.03 - Common Crane (Grus grus) - 2014-343

Dear Anand Ji,
This report of the single Common Crane is very interesting .
It is normally gregarious in nature and found in flocks, small or big ?

Another visit to the new found wetland for a look at the flocks of Sarus Crane.
Post Diwali, the pollution hung heavy and the Sun covered with Clouds there was
not much interest in taking photographs due poor light.

Then, this beautiful bird was seen feeding with a flock of 32 Sarus Cranes and
became the centre of attraction - seeing the bird after almost 5 years.

Do not know if the bird has been seen in NOIDA-Greater Noida that is to the
East of  Yamuna River - this place is 13 kms in a straight line from Yamuna
 - at least for the last ten years.

Here is a Video Link too:

Enjoy.
