Just beyond the Namti Plains towards Kibithu, we chanced upon a flock of Black-chinned Yuhinas, a Rufous-Gorgetted Flycatcher (no pic) and an assortment of other smallies. A short drive forward brought us to a golden meadow dotted with tall pine trees, which is where we heard the first calls of, and got the Derbyan Parakeets, a flock of which gave us a grand show later on the drive.
