[BirdPhotoIndia] Rufous-bellied Woodpecker1

Hi,
This beautiful Rufous-bellied Woodpecker (f) was shot at Singba Rhododendron Sanctuary at Yumthang, North Sikkim on 19.5.2015. Though distant, it was a picture perfect setting. The tree was huge, moss-laden, beautiful with orangish leaves and the orange and black bird perfectly matched with it.
We observed this bird for a long time. It was fun to watch the bird going backwards, hopping down along the tree trunk. It seemed a favourite tree of it as there were series of typical woodpecker holes on the trunk and I guess ( hope my imagination is not going wild) it hides its acorns there for the winter!
Best regards,
Maitreyee
