(delhibirdpix) The Commoners - # 166.04 - Borwn Rock Chat (Cercomela fusca) - 2015-151

Times change - Birding Times and Places change.

From when my birding days averaged 200 Days in 2006-08, it is now down
less than 100 Days. Terrace Birding was hardly on a day or two.  Now it is
about 20% of Birding Days.

It delights.  I know when I would not be able to go out in old age in future,
there would still be birding.

As is usual, some days are good and some when the birds would not show
up.

A Week back, terrace birding highlight was a flock of Sunbirds - Males
singing, females being chased and a number of chick showing up as well.
Possibly a second round of breeding.  Then, there were a full family of Common
Tailbirds. Sparrows, Laughing Doves, Pigeons, Bulbuls - Red Vented and Whiskered
both, White-eyes, Brown Rock Chats, Parakeets, Kites, Crows, Prinias and a Shikra
in the air.

R-V Bulbul make a nest in the X-mas Tree in the front yard. Then abandoned it.
Then, was seen sitting in incubating position and then not seen.  May be they
went to the tree opposite two houses away.  Red-Whikered and White-Eyes were
seen carrying nesting material.

They pose, the light is generally good.  Even in the rain, it was fun shooting with
all stages of ISO settings and not succeeding in capturing any images other than
that of a flower with nice rain-drops on it.

Here are some images.

A Brown Rock Chat.

Enjoy.
