(delhibirdpix) Indian Pitta

After getting to know that this bird was discovered in Mangar Bani by Neelam Khosla I decided to try my luck today. On way picked up Debashish Deb from his office. It was hot and sultry when I left home at 1 pm.

A lot has changed in the last 8 years when I visited the place last. Wingco as usual generously provided all the guidance necessary to get to the place where it was seen.

We reached the place at about 3.30 pm after ringing up Wingco several times for getting right the location of the place.

We got down and were rewarded with excellent sighting of the bird.

We saw a solitary bird but it gave excellent pictures. The light wasn't great but what the heck it turned out to be a lifer for me.
