(delhibirdpix) The Blue Prince

The Blue Prince--

Black-naped Monarch flycatcher- male
it is perhaps one of the most vividly coloured and gorgeous birds of the plains of Bengal. But its tough to get it in proper light, as it prefers to stay in the shady areas of the light deciduous forests, groves and bamboo glades. While birding in a mango grove in the outskirts of the city, we had to wait for almost an hour to get this fidgety bird in good light.

Location: Jagaddal.
Narendrapur outskirts.
near Kolkata.
Sept-2015
Canon 60D
Sigma 150-500mm.

Shantanu.
