(delhibirdpix) Pangot 15-18 Apr 10-5

The woodpecker was spotted by Tekchand (could be wrong with the name) from Jungle Lore. While sitting in the open he heard the chicks and located the nest. Sitting and waiting at a good distance with binos ready we watched the mother (think so) bring insects to feed the chicks not seen. She would entry the nest hole head first and be out head first. A site all of us were facinated watching. The feeding was every 5 min

Himalayan Woodpecker Dendrocopos himalayensis albescens

Grey-hooded Warbler Seicercus xanthoschistos

Siberian Stonechat Saxicola maura

The Stonechat male and female were frequent visitors to the lodge.
