2. The White-bellied Sea Eagle dived into the water - dragged what looked like a cormorant (but there were many Common Coots in the vicinity too and one is not too sure about the precise id of the kill) over the water for some length - and then flew away into the distance with its hapless kill. The action lasted a few seconds.
White-bellied Sea Eagles normally eat water snakes. However, in winter breeding season it goes for larger kills. We saw a demonstration of that.
