The tally of Sarus this trip was 44 - think one flock of 25-30 is forging in some nearby area that we have to find.
Or, may be these have dispersed to their breeding spots with the time being prime for breeding. First half of
October would be the perfect time to visit and may be run in to the new borns that would be easily visible with
the paddy having been harvested and fields getting ready for the Rabi Crops.
All the usual were there. Open Bill heronry is doing great - chicks making a cacophony.
Surprise was the sighting of two young White-throated Kingfishers.
There were three - these two with one parent, I think that flew away
as I focused while a crow came chasing these away.
