Himalayan Monal male | Kedarnath WLS, Uttarakhand | 13th June 2013
A birding tour to this high altitude forest (2900-3600mts abv MSL) of the Himalayas is not complete unless one gets a chance to have a glimpse of this colorful beauty. We were lucky to see and photograph this elusive species multiple times, both the male and the female and at one occasion a female with chicks.
